Privacy Policy

The short version: your JSON never leaves your browser, and we collect as little as legally and technically possible.

Effective date: 2 July 2026

1. Your JSON data

All tools on this site process data locally in your browser. The JSON you paste, upload or type is never sent to our servers — there is no upload endpoint. Share links encode the document into the URL fragment, which browsers do not transmit to our server either. We cannot see, store, or recover anything you process here.

2. Local storage

For convenience, the site stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage: your theme choice (light/dark), your selected JSON standard, and the last input per tool so a reload doesn't lose your work. This data stays on your device, is not readable by us, and is removed when you clear your browser data (or press Clear in a tool).

3. Advertising and cookies

The site is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its certified ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads; where required, ads are limited to non-personalized until you give consent. Details:

  • Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.
  • Visitors in the EEA/UK/Switzerland are shown a consent dialog (a Google-certified consent management platform) before any advertising cookies are set, and can change their choice at any time.

4. Analytics

We use privacy-respecting, cookie-free page-view counting to understand which tools are used. No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, no sale of data — ever.

5. Server logs

Like virtually every website, our web server keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and deleted automatically and are not used for profiling.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

This site is operated from Austria and complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Because we hold no account data and your documents never reach us, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete — but you have the full set of GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection) regarding any personal data we do process, such as server logs. To exercise them, or for any privacy question, use the contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at).

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes to how advertising works are additionally announced via the consent dialog.
